James Dean: Times Square in the Rain

The last couple of days haven't been the best ones for New York City due to the passing of Hurricane Sandy. Whenever the news broadcast showed footage of a rainy Times Square, it definitely made me remember this iconic 1955 Dennis Stock photo of James Dean strolling in the middle of the rain there.

My support goes out to everyone affected by Sandy in New York, the Eastern US Coast, and the Caribbean.

Warren Beatty: The Art of the Tie Knot

Ties are a must in the wardrobe of any elegant gentleman. They are the finishing touch to an ensemble, create contrast, and express one's personality. Yet, it doesn't matter if your tie has an amazing design, blends perfectly with your jacket and shirt, or its materials are the best; if the knot isn't well done, it pretty much spoils the whole ensemble.

A simple but very important detail, understood very well by Warren Beatty, who was photographed in 1967 by Jack Robinson while fixing his tie's knot.

Audrey Hepburn & Albert Finney: Two for the Road"

Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney stroll through a flower covered field in one of the scenes of "Two for the Road". This is one of the best films from the late 60s due to its narrative sequence and of course the ensembles worn throughout the film.
