Emilio Pucci: SS 2011 Menswear Resort Capsule Collection

Emilio Pucci was one of the groundbreaking fashion designers of the 60s due to his original and eyecatching geometric design prints. His artistic genius has been displayed for more than 60 years on womenswear.

In 2011 to celebrate the new design of Emilio Pucci's Online Flagship, the brand's Creative Director, Peter Dundas has designed the first Pucci menswear collection.

The pieces from this collection not only capture the true essence of Pucci, but classic elegance as well. Pieces that could have been worn in 1967 and 2011.

Shirts or tunics to be worn this summer at sea, the club, a dinner party, or while strolling around the streets of a coastal town. These garments can be paired with either white jeans or linen pants depending on the occasion.

Clint Eastwood: Small Details Make A Big Difference

Clint Eastwood on the photograph below is the perfect example on why sometimes less is more and how one element can make a simple ensemble look outstanding. Wearing a plain white t-shirt, Eastwood decided to spice up this ensemble worn when making some phonecalls by choosing cordoury pants and canvas sneakers. And although cordoury is not acceptable and recommendable during Spring/Summer, one can choose from either some colored pants or washed out jeans.

Jean-Paul Belmondo & Jean Seberg: "Breathless"

Jean-Paul Belmondo co starred with Jean Seberg on one of the most acclaimed films of 1960, "Breathless" ("A Bout De Souffle). This film directed by Jean-Luc Godard is representative of the French New Wave.

Belmondo and Seberg were photographed on set wearing coordinated stripe ensembles. He wore a vertical striped shirt, while Jean Seberg opted for a horizontal striped dress. Stripes never go out of style, especially in Spring/Summer.

Photographer Slim Aarons poses in an original way during his visit to Athens in 1955. Behind him on the background one of the most magnificent monuments in the world, the Acropolis. Although the colors worn by Aarons aren't very Spring/Summer, one can't deny their elegance. Yet the black pullover might not be recommendable under the Greek sun.
