Pink Floyd: The Great Summer Gig

Pink Floyd shows how to successfully wear print shirts this Summer. My favorite ensemble is the one worn by Syd Barret because his shirt's design isn't only eye-catching, but because he added the finishing touches with a bead necklace and a silk belt.

The Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Rock

July 12th marked the 50th anniversary of the first performance ever given by the Rolling Stones at the Marquee Club. This group, whose name is credited to one of it's founding members Brian Jones, can be considered along with The Beatles as the two most influential groups in Rock and music history.

The Stones represent an era; icons of Swinging 60s London, rebellion with a touch of the Riviera & Studio 54 in the 70s, and reinvention & adaptation to modernity in the last three decades. It can't be denied that the Rolling Stones are part of our life's soundtrack.

Long Live the Rolling Stones!

Roman Polanski & Sharon Tate: Summer of '68

Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski gave a lesson of style while attending a party in the summer of 1968. For the occasion, Roman Polanski chose a double breasted pin stripe suit with matching neckerchief; while Sharon Tate opted for a black and white mini dress. A timeless photo.

Pilar Crespi & Ritchie White: Summer in Puerto Rico

Pilar Crespi and Ritchie White wore Bohemian inspired print ensembles while visiting Puerto Rico in the early 70s. The combination of different prints creates an interesting contrast.

L.G.R Sunglasses: Foster The Summer

L.G.R Sunglasses has added 4 new models to its Spring/Summer 2012 collection; which was featured on the blog some weeks ago. These new models, handmade in Italy by artisans, carry on the elegance and quality of L.G.R with a wide variety of frame colors and lenses.

Alexandria and Aswan, shown below, are an example of the classiness and style found in Hollywood, Cinecitta, and the Mediterranean in the late 50s and early 60s.

On the other hand, Carthago and Tsavo are the perfect wraparound frames for those who like to engage in Summer sports looking bold and effortlessly cool.
