James Dean: 55 Years Without "The Rebel"

September 30, 2010 marks the 55th anniversary of the death of James Dean. Although his film career was a short one, with 3 hit films: "Rebel Without A Cause", "Giant", & "East of Eden"; Dean became a legend after his untimely death at the age of 24 due to a car crash.

Speed racing was one of his passions, as well as playing the bongo. Photographed below in 1955 with his Porsche 550 Spyder, James Dean shows why he is not only a cinema but style icon as well.
