James Dean & Sara Montiel

Sara Montiel, one of Spain's greatest actresses and singers, died on April 8, 2013. She was the first Spanish actress to participate in Hollywood films with the likes of Gary Cooper and Burt Lancaster. During the filming of "Serenade" in 1955, Sara Montiel became friends with Elizabeth Taylor and James Dean, who were participating in "Giant" on the adjacent studio.

The photograph below shows Sara and James Dean sharing a moment of laughter. This was James Dean's last photograph before his untimely death. It has been said that Sara had intended to join him on his Porsche for that tragic journey.

Honoring 3 Decades of British Menswear

To celebrate the Jubilee and the Olympics, Britain's Royal Mail issued a series of ten stamps honoring the best British designers of these last six decades. Most of them were womenswear designers, yet menswear designers were also honored, as shown below. Definitely a quick flashback of menswear in the 60s-80s.

Worth mentioning is the fact that Tommy Nutter's suit was worn by Ringo Starr.
